On the morning of 30 June 2025, the Viet Nam Association of Community Colleges (VACC) successfully held a hybrid seminar titled “AI in Vocational Education: Shaping the Teachers – Learners – Institutions of the Future”. The event took place at VACC’s office in Hà Nội and was connected online to a wide audience of VACC member institutions across Vietnam.
The seminar attracted the participation of over 150 leaders and lecturers from VACC’s member universities, vocational colleges and enterprises who together explored practical strategies for applying AI in teaching, learning, and institutional management.
The seminar featured Dr. Andy (Khánh Xuân) Nguyễn, Assistant Professor at the University of Oulu, Finland, a leading expert in Applied Artificial Intelligence and educational technology, who brought global insights on AI’s role in shaping teaching and learning. Dr. Andy Nguyễn shared insights on designing learning in the AI era and the evolving roles of teachers and managers.
Ms. Nikita Ngân Nguyễn, co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Ekoios Technology, offered a dynamic industry perspective on AI-driven workforce trends and the critical readiness of vocational training systems. Ms. Nikita Ngân specifically discussed future workforce demands under AI and how vocational education can proactively prepare.
Ms. Đặng Thị Ngọc Loan, Head of Training and Research at Sao Mai Education Group, shared practical strategies and real-world challenges in implementing AI-powered digital transformation at the school level. Ms. Ngọc Loan presented digital transformation strategies for vocational institutions.
Dr. Lâm Bạch Vân, Head of Training and Cooperation at Kien Giang College, contributed local insights by presenting the college’s orientation and initiatives in applying AI to teaching and professional activities.
The Q&A and open discussion session was moderated by Dr. Nguyễn Văn Sinh – Vice President of VACC and Rector of Hanoi International College. The discussion contributed to creating an open space for dialogue, effectively connecting real-world needs with professional orientations in applying AI to vocational education.
The event fostered active discussions and valuable connections, reaffirming VACC’s commitment to supporting member institutions in digital transformation and innovation.
